Job Responsibilities:
Technical Work

  • Installation of cable infrastructure (CAT5/E, CAT6, and Fiber).
  • Dress and route cable into IT closets, modular furniture, and other work area outlets.
  • Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks).
  • Cable management (dressing and labeling).
  • Cable Termination (Patch Panel, Jacks, Keystones, RJ-45/Modular Plug).
  • Wireless Access Point (WAP), Fiber ONT, and Network Switch installation.
  • IT Closet Builds (Data rack, ladder rack, cable tray, patch panel, sleeves, 110/66 blocks).
  • Fiber splicing, installation, and testing (Fluke and OTDR experience).
  • Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).

Management

  • Manage teams to effectively complete large-scale commercial projects.
  • GC/Client management experience.
  • Conduct safety meetings.
  • Order appropriate materials as necessary.
  • Necessary Labor Forecasting.
  • Blueprint changes. Submit change orders to Project Manager

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
  • 7+ years of commercial structured cabling, low voltage, or data cable installation experience.
  • Understanding BICSI Standards for installation.
  • Active OSHA 10 – preferred.
  • Scissor/Boom Lift Certification – preferred.
  • Hilti, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Certifications – preferred.
  • Physical Requirement: Ability to work at heights, on a ladder and/or scissor lift, and work in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to work on your feet for entire shift.
  • Tools: Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver (multi-Bit), torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), cable stripper, punch tool 110/66, modular plug crimper, flashlight, work boots (steel toe or composite toe), hammer, wrench set, gloves, and tool pouch.
